The College Basic Academic Subjects Examination measures students' learning as they prepare to become K-12 l teachers. Administered by the Assessment Resource Center at the University of Missouri, it's primarily used by colleges in Missouri, Kansas and Iowa. About 60 colleges outside those three states also use the CBASE. Only Missouri requires it for teacher licensure.
